Geoinformation system of Krasnodar territory (GIS) represents a program-technical complex realizing priority tasks of introduction of information technologies according to the Governmental order of the Russian Federation from January, 16th, 1995 № 40 «About the organization of works on creation of geoinformation system of public authorities», by the Governmental order of the Russian Federation from February, 12th, 2003 № 98 «About providing access to the information on activity of the Government of the Russian Federation and federal enforcement authorities», by the Order of the head of Administration of Krasnodar territory from February, 17th, 2004 № 163-p «About development of the regional target program «Electronic Kuban», by the Decision of the head of Administration of Krasnodar territory from March, 24th, 2003 № 263 «About summarizing the work of institutions of local government of the municipal entities of Krasnodar territory».

After carrying out of loading testing the program-technical complex GIS of Krasnodar territory is placed in a test operation. The most advanced program technologies have been applied for creation of the system.
